Larry J. Cameron, a native Pennsylvanian who began his professional life as a public school teacher in 1970 following studies in English literature at Franklin and Marshall College, has completed his new book “Wings: A Life in Verse”: an enthralling account filled with real-life experiences that touch the readers’ hearts.
This collection of poems may best be viewed as an album of photographs capturing a panorama of experiences that cover more than half a century. Earliest memories focus on special moments when the author spent time as a boy and as a young man on his grandfather’s farm, as well as observations of simple features of the natural world that fascinated him. Some poems reflect inward journeys into the realm of faith while others capture outward journeys to places both near and abroad. The book opens with poems of love and closes with remembrances of people who were especially important to the author. What unites all the poems in this collection is that their words will touch personal chords in the hearts of readers.
Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Larry’s new book invites readers to soar with him on the invisible wings of poetry and to view life from new perspectives.
Readers can purchase “Wings: A Life in Verse” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.
