Recent release “Foster Me” from Covenant Books author Ariana Oman follows a young woman named Ariana, who pens a letter to her late mother to heal from the trauma faced throughout her time in the foster care system. Forced to face her fears and grow up fast, Ariana uses her writings to allow herself to move on with her life while still remembering and honoring her mother.

Ariana Oman, who owns and operates a business with her husband and volunteers for a local charity that assists at-risk children, has completed her new book, “Foster Me”: a moving story told in the form of a letter to the narrator’s mother, describing her difficult and often harrowing journeys while growing up as a foster child.

“Life for Ariana is not a ribbon floating through time collecting happy memories; it is a rope she clings to that transforms into a noose when she becomes a foster child,” writes Oman. “Not every child born is given a stable home. Some face tragedy and are often severed from family ties. This is how a foster child is created, how Ariana became one. Wrapped inside a letter she writes to her deceased mother, Ariana reveals her journey. As a foster child, she faces her fears and more heartbreaks. With loving guidance from her foster families, she learns how to release the rope and transform it into a ribbon.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Ariana Oman’s new book is a heart-wrenching character-driven narrative that reveals the difficult upbringing one faces in the foster system, but how ultimately hope can spring forth from even the darkest of times.

Readers can purchase “Foster Me” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
