Recent release “Birds: Our Fine Feathered Friends: Seen by Sue and Drew” from Covenant Books author Gene Crumbley follows Sue and Drew, two young siblings bored at home with nothing to do. Noticing a bird outside their living room window, the two begin bird watching and soon discover the joy it can bring as they spend the rest of their day spotting different bird species.

Gene Crumbley, a retired Doctor of Chiropractic who enjoys photography, golf, woodworking, and creating greeting cards, has completed his new book, “Birds: Our Fine Feathered Friends: Seen by Sue and Drew”: a charming and educational tale of two children who spend their time bird watching, documenting various bird species, their behaviors, and what makes them so interesting.

“Sue and Drew are a fictitious girl and boy, as are their mom and dad,” writes Crumbley. “Other people mentioned are real people, as are the places and circumstances. All birds, ducks, and geese are real, and their names and descriptions are correct to the best of [my] knowledge.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Gene Crumbley’s new book is inspired by his lifelong passion for birds and photography, with his own personal photographs being used throughout the tale. As Sue and Drew become engaged in spotting the different birds outside their house and in other places, they realize the fun that can come from such an activity, encouraging readers to step outside and appreciate the natural wonders around them.

Readers can purchase “Birds: Our Fine Feathered Friends: Seen by Sue and Drew” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
