Recent release “The Dark Side of the Church Ushers” from Covenant Books author Walter Stackhouse is a behind-the-mass account of the private, personal lives of ushers, delving into how, though they are part of church life, they do have struggles of their own.

Walter Stackhouse, a North Carolina native who prides himself on his hard work, has completed his new book, “The Dark Side of the Church Ushers”: a compelling look at the personal lives and struggles of church ushers.

Stackhouse shares, “We, as church ushers, deal with people from all walks of life. Before we were church ushers, we were those people from all walks of life. Each chapter titled deals with something that can be apart or affect our life. Even as church ushers, we can be troubled in our soul, in despair, have jealousy, envy, and some have issues of a dark past. Some chapters might define how some who usher are; in spite of what will be read, there are many genuine church ushers. No two are alike, and each one is a different individual.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Walter Stackhouse’s new book delves into life outside of the mass, where an usher serves. Ushers, like all people, have their own personal strife and this tale will open the eyes of church-goers to some of the struggles they face.

Readers can purchase “The Dark Side of the Church Ushers” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
