One year after winning the title of 2017 Greatmats National Dog Trainer of the Year, Sarah Carson is the proud owner of a Guinness World Record for the Most Tricks Performed by a Dog in 1 Minute. Her dog, Hero The Super Collie of “America’s Got Talent” fame, officially recorded 49 tricks in 60 seconds, breaking the previous record of 32 tricks in a minute. 

“We did 54, but they didn’t count a few,” Carson said, noting that they included agility, frisbee and canine freestyle tricks.

Carson, a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, has installed an approximately 170 square foot area of Greatmats 5/8 inch thick interlocking premium foam floor mats in her Los Angeles area home where she can work on her dogs’ tricks and training.

“We turned one of the rooms of the house into an indoor training room, which has been really helpful with the extreme heat,” she said.

“We have a variety of Border Collies and German Shepherds and Malinois, and they’ve held up great. There are scratches, but there’s no extreme damage. It’s been great.”
